This service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please contact your veterinary practice for details of their out of hours provider.
We have one of the largest out of hours teams in the UK, comprising vets, registered veterinary nurses and ancillary staff. They are a dedicated team with a special interest in emergency medicine, with all either studying for or having gained additional qualifications in this area.

Costs and insurance
Consultation fees (not including treatments):
Before 6pm (inc. weekends and Bank Holidays): £105.00
From 6pm – 11pm: £136.01
After 11pm until 8am: £169.48
Before Midnight: £89.51
After Midnight: £100.01
If your animal is insured please bring with you your insurance details. We require proof of policy including the name of your insurance company, policy number and excess deduction amounts.
Emergency referrals services for vets
If you are struggling with a case and would like some advice on how to deal with an emergency please call the practice to speak to our team. If you are referring a case please, where possible, provide a history and the quantities and time given of any medication that the pet has been given.
The services that we can offer include:
- Emergency stabilisation for shock
- Bloods including blood gas analysis
- Blood and plasma transfusions
- Emergency surgery (eg GDV, caesarean, pyometra, etc)
- CT and digital radiography
- Oxygen therapy
- Intensive care ward under the supervision of a registered veterinary nurse
Pets from other pracitces
As a hospital we have individual arrangements in place with other veterinary practices and your pet can either stay here for the full duration of their treatment or you can be discharged back to your own practice as soon as your pet is stable to travel. We will liaise with you and your own veterinary practice as to the best course of action for your pet.
