The range of facilities and equipment at PetMedics also includes a 16 slice CT scanner.
CT is much more sensitive than radiography for checking for metastases or other thoracic imaging. It is also much more useful for elbow and shoulder imaging and imaging of the head, to name a few.
We offer CT scans as an outpatient service for those pets that are clinically stable. If your pet is otherwise systemically unwell, then we may ask for the whole case to be referred for management in this instance. This is something that will be discussed and agreed with your vet. A full report will be sent back to your vet once the scan has been completed.
We also have digital radiography.
We can only accept referrals from veterinary surgeons. If you think your pet may need a referral, please speak to your veterinary surgeon who will be able to advise.
If you are a vet and would like to refer a non-emergency case for an in-patient or out-patient CT, please use our online referral form to do so (or for emergency referrals, please call the hospital directly on 0161 794 4999).
If you would like more information on any of the above services then please contact us.
