Your vet may refer your pet to us for several possible reasons.
Some animals require 24-hour monitoring when they are hospitalised, so your vet may refer you to us as we have equipment that is unavailable at your own vets. Alternatively our team has certified and experienced staff that have specialised interests and may be more experienced in dealing with more complex cases.
If your pet is referred to us we will require your vet to send us some details of the case. On your arrival, we will need to have a consultation and discuss the case together. We may hospitalise your pet or admit him/her for some procedures. If this is the case we will discuss any risks on admission.
Once your pet is discharged or we have performed the procedures they have been referred for, we will send all the details to your own vets. Your vets will then continue the treatment and investigation of the case where appropriate.
If you would like to discuss this with us further then please contact the practice.
